Tips for Managing Your Mailing LIst

Your mailing list is probably the biggest piece of your marketing puzzle.  Because, think about it, without a good mailing list your marketing efforts will go nowhere.

If you’re just starting out and building a mailing list of potential retailers to contact for wholesale, this will be a big project.  It will take a lot of time, effort and energy to create your list. You’ll use google, you’ll check out competitor websites and you’ll use social media to research the *right* stores who are the best fit for your products.  Quality over quantity.

It is much better to have a smaller, more tailored mailing list reaching the right contacts than a large list of people who may or may not have an interest in your products or services.  Keep in mind that your mailing list is going to be a constantly evolving project.  As new stores open, people switch jobs or you meet new contacts at shows – you will be adding and editing your mailing list to keep it fresh and relevant.
